A Consolidated B-24A Liberator named ‘“Ol 927” operated by the Confederate Air Force flies past the billowing smoke of a large pyro explosion simulating bomb runs by a B-17 Flying Fortress and this B-24. The way the B-24 passed by the smoke makes it look like something out of an actual World War 2 bombing raid. This B-24 is one of only three B-24s that are still flying in the world out of the 18,482 that were built. This photo was taken at the 2007 Nellis Air Force Base Airshow (named ‘Aviation Nation’) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Photo by Britt Dietz.
